Golden LEAF in Lenoir County

By CED Guest Author

Published September 15, 2009

Residents of Lenoir County gathered last night for the 4th meeting of the Golden LEAF Community Assistance Initiative (CAI). The group divided into breakout rooms to establish outcome measures within each of the county’s priority areas: (1) Economic Development and Infrastructure, (2) Education and Workforce Training and (3) Healthcare. Once outcome measures are set, the group will begin developing projects to “move the needle” in each priority area. Golden LEAF will invest $2 million in projects that meet the community’s objectives.
