Student Corner: Water Policy for Caswell County

By CED Program Interns & Students

Published November 2, 2009

Kate Pearce is a graduate student assistant working in Caswell County.

At the request of County Manager, Kevin Howard I drafted water use policy for Caswell County.  The policy was drafted by surveying existing policies and procedures from counties of similar size to Caswell namely Montgomery County, Martin County, Anson County, Northhampton County and the Town of Yanceyville.  It includes sample rate and fee structures, special provisions specific to Caswell County needs and suggested organizational and governance structures.  The policy was well received by county staff and will be presented to county government for review and approval.
