Leadership Forum in Caswell County

Caswell Senior Ctr #6737Will Lambe is the Director of the Community-Campus Partnership and Associate Director for the Community & Economic Development Program.

On Thursday night, January 7th, the Community-Campus Partnership will facilitate a Caswell County leadership forum at the Senior Center in Yanceyville. Participants will include elected and appointed officials from Caswell County, the Town of Yanceyville, Piedmont Community College (PCC), Caswell County School Board and DEEDS (a local African-American organization). Kevin Howard, Caswell County Manager and Dr. Walter Bartlett, President of PCC, requested UNC’s asssitance in planning and facilitating a conversation about local development priorities and partnership opportunities. Lydian Altman, Will Lambe and Kendra Cotton will facilitate the forum. Several faculty, staff and students from UNC will join the meeting as well including Mike Smith, Suzanne Gulledge, Alice Ammerman, Jason Jolley and Tyler Mulligan. A summary of the meeting will be posted on this blog afterwards.

Will Lambe authored the NC Rural Center report, Small Towns, Big Ideas, and he served as Director of the Community and Economic Development Program at the School of Government from 2009 to 2014.
