The CCP grant-funded project “Lift Off, Lenoir! A Partnership between Lenoir County Public Schools and Morehead Planetarium and Science Center” will officially launch during a reception scheduled to be held on Monday, January 31 from 4:00 -6:00pm at the Spirit Composite Center of Excellence. The event is jointly sponsored by Spirit Aerosystems and the Lenoir County STEM Collaboration. The “Lift Off Lenoir!” project will bring North Carolina’s first portable digital planetarium and a unique space-themed education program to approximately 1,000 Lenoir County elementary school students.
